about

I offer support to young people and young adults who might be struggling with a range of difficult emotional experiences including anxiety, low mood or depression, loneliness, low self esteem, family and relationship difficulties, anger and life changes, amongst others. At the heart of my work is the belief that every young person has the ability to thrive.

about me

Fiona McKinstrie (MSc, MA, MBACP)

I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist specialising in work with children, adolescents and young people (up to the age of 25) and families. I have experience working in a range of settings including the NHS, secondary and primary schools and third sector community organisations.

As well as psychodynamic psychotherapy I am BPC accredited to offer Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (a brief 16 session therapy model focused on relationships).

Through therapy, I offer a safe, non-judgemental, and empathetic space for young people and young adults to talk and find positive ways forward.

springwell

In a nod to South London, Springwell was named after the lost medicinal spring waters or ‘wells’, once poetically described in the 17th century as the ‘cure for every ill to which humanity is heir’.
